Aerial Mosquito Spraying
7/8/2025
To help control the mosquito population and reduce the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses, an aerial spray will be conducted within the city limits. We will update with the exact day and time range when we are notified of this information.
This aerial spraying targets mosquitos in the air before they hatch, helping to significantly reduce their numbers.
What You Need to Know:
- Spray Time: Overnight hours (exact date/time to be provided)
- Please Stay Indoors: We ask all residents to remain indoors during the spray period.
- Protect Pets: Keep your pets, especially dogs, inside during the spray.
- Close All Windows: Make sure your windows are fully closed to prevent exposure.
Safety Information:
Aerial spraying is less invasive than ground spraying, as it is specifically designed to stay airborne and target flying mosquitoes. The small amount that reaches the ground is minimal—comparable to a single packet of Equal or Splenda per acre, making it very low risk for humans and pets when precautions are followed.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our community safe and mosquito-free!
