Water & Sewer Rates & Policies

Listed below, you will find the City of Coahoma current water rates and policies. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you. 

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call the phone numbers provided. We will do everything possible to locate the problem with your water.

Water Rates:

Minimum charge up to 2,000 gallons $23.54

2001 and up an additional    $11.77 per  1,000 gallons

Temporary on and off charge $25.00 each occurrence

POLICY

  1.  All water, sewer and trash rates, charges and fees established pursuant to this  ordinance shall be paid to the City of Coahoma.  All  statements shall be due on the 10th day of the succeeding month following the date of billing.

  2. In the event any consumer of City water, sewer and trash services does not pay the amount due upon proper billing within thirty days from the date same became due and payable, such consumer's water service shall be subject to disconnection of water Whenever the amount past due and delinquent is paid by such user or consumer, such service shall be resumed.

  1. Rates and charges for water, sewer and trash services shall be billed to the consumer on one statement, and such consumers shall not be permitted to make separate payment for such services

  1. No free water, sewer and trash services shall be allowed to any person, firm or corporation.

PENALTY

Notwithstanding any other remedies provided herein, any person convicted of violating any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a maximum fine $250.00. Each day of such violation shall constitute a separate offense.
